Boys & Girls Clubs of America is looking for volunteers to assist us as we host our National Youth of the Year event in Washington, DC on September 26, 2017 at the National Building Museum.
For 70 years, BGCA’s National Youth of the Year program has helped to shape tomorrow’s leaders by fostering character, leadership and community service in young people, starting them on a path to great fu
tures. As the highest honor a Boys & Girls Club member can receive, our National Youth of the Year serves as a role model for the nearly 4 million youth served by Clubs, recognizing Club members with strong character, leadership and a willingness to serve. These individuals truly exemplify BGCA’s mission and are proof of the impact our Movement makes on transforming and saving kids’ lives.
On September 26th, together, alongside dignitaries, community leaders, philanthropists, advocates and entertainers, we will honor six outstanding Club members and hear their inspiring stories, the challenges they have overcome and their hopes for the future.
