Generation:Meet was founded in 2012 as a resource for students, emerging professionals, and life long learners as well as to promote job and internship opportunities for the rising professionals (experience of 0-10 years within the industry).

We encourage anyone in our industry, as well as anyone interested in becoming involved in our industry, to follow Generation:Meet and welcome comments and feedback as we are all here to learn from one other.

Generation:Meet.com is produced and managed by the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) Capital Chapter’s Emerging Professionals Committee.

The Emerging Professionals Committee (EPC) is committed to the professional development of all hospitality industry members…whether you’re just starting out, have years of experience or anything in between.  There’s always something to learn…and teach, no matter the level of experience.  Learning opportunities are offered through education, mentoring, university outreach and more.

EPC Mentorship and Shadowing*  

PCMA’s Capital Chapter features a dynamic and active mentorship program.

This exciting program is designed to provide emerging professionals who have less than five (5) years of experience in the industry with the support and guidance of a seasoned industry veteran who will help them further develop as they start off in their careers.
